Old, wavy plaster and lathe walls in this turn of the century building cried out for detail.

To tie in the original crown molding, trompe l'oeil picture molding was created in historically accurate colors, a stenciled period border was applied to walls, ceiling and chandelier shades.

Study Doors

When large new closets were built into this turn-of-the-century Chicago building, a Fleur de Lis stencil was applied over a soft wash to tie in period references throughout the building.

Formal Living Room

Twelve foot walls overwhelmed this living room. With a goal to make the space cozier, a unique custom finish was used to create this coarse rubbed wall. The actual finish is smooth.

Gecko Bathroom

These clients, while located on the East Coast, loved the Southwest. Arizona sky blue walls, streaked shutters to hint at high desert clouds and a rainbow trail of geckos fulfilled the client’s desire for a Southwest oasis in New Jersey.

Cove with Vase

A new condo kitchen designed to have an old world look includes this color fade dinish, Italian scripted phrases and a whitewash to age.

Powder Room Ceiling

This tiny powder room ceiling lacked panache. Painted a rich coral base and swirled with liquid leaf added just the drama to finish the space.

Deep-Toned European Wall

A deep burgundy wall topped with two terracotta-toned glazes that was rubbed,ragged and pounced on to create a rich European finish.

Striped Wall with Photos

An oversized dressing room needed some scale. Over a pale base, two different width stripes were created in a rich cocoa color. Over alternating dark stripes, a pale cream leather finish was applied.
