Green and White Armoire

A bright cheery teen girl's room needed more storage. This simple IKEA armoire becomes a inspired combination of style and organization.

Campari Stool

A stylish donation. In an Italian themes auction to raise money for those less fortunate, this stool raised the spirits of the purchaser and the fortunes of the homeless.

Italian Country Cabinets

The homeowners wanted to bring the feel of their favorite Italian vacation into their Chicago kitchen. These pale olive painted cabinets have been enhanced with lemons, oranges, ripe olives and laurel leaves. An aging glaze and a touch of gold patina at the edged completed the look.

Painted Armoire

Originally white, the owner of this armoire wanted a more natural feel to the piece. Two tones of simple wood graining and a some pale embellishments created the country style and natural feel the owner loved.

Pomegranate Secretary

A fun experiment with a family hand-me-down. This piece was originally very dark, with panels set behind the glass that made the cabinet look like it had six tiny panes. Removal of the panels, painting bright red with gold leaf on the interior and a whimsical pomegranate stencil applied to the newly light colored exterior turned this staid old secretary into a show stopper.

Glamorous End Tables

A flea market find. The 3 end tables were in solid condition, but the finishes have seen better days. With the application of dimensional acrylic materials and cutting edge stencil technology the battered tables were transformed into conversation pieces.

Shell Cabinets

An old-fashioned East Coast pantry whose cabinets were solid but dull needed some perking up. These clients loved the ocean and wanted that reflected on the cabinets to go with the beachy feel of the rest of the kitchen. Over-sized seashells with their names scripted below were just the sunny touch to enhance their sandy sensibilities.

Sink Console

In a new construction house, these homeowners wanted to bring in elements of their world travels. On a trip to Mexico, they found the beautiful hand-painted sink and tile surround but had nothing to set it into.  A flea-market wash stand was found and converted to suit the need. The stand and knobs were painted and aged to compliment the ceramics and complete the feel of Old Mexico.

Blue and white bench with fish

An empty nester makeover of her son's room inspired this client's delft blue theme. This old beat up toy chest what converted into a whimsical bench complete with trompe l'oeil cushion on top.
